We provide sporting and leisure facilities to the people of Mayfield. These comprise: the pavilion, the playing fields, multi-use games area (MUGA), the bowling green, the playground, and, shortly to be installed, the outdoor gym. We have a car park with spaces for 20 cars. Local sporting organisations regularly using the facilities include Mayfield Football Club and Mayfield Bowls Club.
The Pavilion
The newly refurbished pavilion is open for hire for meetings, clubs and parties. It can accommodate up to 25 people. There is also a fully-equipped, kitchen.
The Playing Fields and Football Pitch
Our full-size football pitch is available for hire and is regularly used by the Mayfield Football Club. They have six teams from under-elevens to senior men’s. For fixtures and contact details see their website – https://mayfieldfc.co.uk/
The MUGA
We’ve recently given the multi-use games area a complete overhaul, installing a new perimeter fence and removing the old skate park equipment. It is free to use but children must be supervised. It is also available for hire for groups.
The Bowling Green
The bowling green is looked after by Mayfield Bowls Club. If you are interested in joining the club, or would like any more information please contact the secretary, Pat Smith on 01335-343737 or by email.
Outdoor Gym
Our newest facility is the outdoor gym, to the left of the football pitch. Check it out – it’s completely free to use.
The Playground
The children’s playground is next on our list for upgrading. Together with the Marna community group, we are currently fundraising and applying for grants. Please help us raise the money if you can.
